Elevating Social Media Presence Across 35+ Hotels
Beyond shaping the overarching social media strategy for Barceló Hotel Group’s brands, I took on the responsibility of managing the day-to-day social media presence for over 35 hotels primarily located in Latin America and Spain. This included iconic properties such as Barceló Maya Grand Resort, Royal Hideaway El Embajador, Allegro Playacar, and Occidental Tamarindo.
In this role, I led a dedicated team of community managers, overseeing the development of tailored monthly content plans for each hotel’s Facebook and Instagram profiles. My focus was on crafting engaging and localized content that resonated with diverse audiences while maintaining brand consistency across all properties.
To drive continuous improvement, I implemented innovative tools and techniques for content creation and social listening. I also generated detailed reports with in-depth analysis, highlighting key performance metrics and insights. This data-driven approach enabled us to optimize strategies in real time, enhancing engagement and driving brand loyalty.
Regular communication with the client was essential to our success. I facilitated discussions on performance results and strategic adjustments, ensuring alignment on objectives and setting the stage for future growth.
Captivating Social Media for Barceló Hotel Group
Barceló Hotel Group, with its portfolio of 4 and 5-star urban and holiday hotels, operates under four distinct brands: Barceló, Royal Hideaway, Allegro, and Occidental Hotels & Resorts. Each of the 35+ hotels I worked with was treated as a separate client, reflecting its unique brand identity and personality. Our approach involved tailoring social media content to highlight the distinctive features of each property, from top beaches and sunsets to exclusive amenities.
Crafting engaging posts and stories for hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Spain required a deep understanding of local cultures, experiences, and facilities. This insight allowed us to create a high volume of content that consistently boosted engagement on Instagram and Facebook, showcasing the individual charm and appeal of each hotel.
